1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all plumbing, heating, and related services (“Services”) provided by Best Choice Plumbing Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any individual or business (“you”, “your”).

By requesting or accepting our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide plumbing, heating, and maintenance services as agreed in your quotation, estimate, or written confirmation.

All Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with UK law and recognised industry standards.

We reserve the right to refuse work for any ‘prospective customer’ at our discretion or where it is unsafe, unlawful, or beyond our scope of expertise.  A ‘customer’ only becomes a ‘customer’ after a verbal or written ‘agreement’ has been reached to provide services at an agreed rate.

3. Quotations and Estimates

Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

Estimates are approximate and may vary depending on site conditions, materials required, or unforeseen issues.

Any additional work required will be agreed with you before proceeding and charged accordingly.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and do not include VAT unless otherwise stated (ex VAT)

Payment terms are as follows:

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work if paying by card or cash. If the customer requires an emailed invoice then payment can be made by transfer and will be due within 7 days.

We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

All materials remain the property of Best Choice Plumbing Limited until paid for in full.

5. Cancellations and Call-outs

You may cancel a booking with at least 24 hours’ notice without charge.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a call-out or cancellation fee.

If we arrive and are unable to gain access or begin work due to circumstances within your control, we may charge a minimum call-out fee.

6. Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise stated.

This guarantee does not cover:

Parts or materials covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or third-party interference.

Pre-existing faults in the system or installations not carried out by us.

7. Materials and Parts

We may supply parts and materials from our own stock or from trusted suppliers.

Any materials provided will be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Where you supply your own materials, we accept no responsibility for their suitability, performance, or warranty.

8. Liability

We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from our Services (including loss of income, business interruption, or damage to property not directly caused by our negligence).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Access and Safety

You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area and disclose any known health and safety risks (e.g., asbestos, faulty wiring).

We reserve the right to stop work if unsafe conditions are identified, and additional costs may apply.

10. Waste Disposal

We will remove waste generated by our work unless otherwise agreed.

Disposal of hazardous or special waste may incur an additional charge.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including extreme weather, supplier failure, or government restrictions).

12. Complaints

We aim to provide high-quality service at all times.

If you are dissatisfied, please contact us in writing at info@bestchoiceplumbing.co.uk

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it promptly and fairly.

If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme or Small Claims Court.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on our website or upon request

15. Charges- Rate of payment

Rates of payment during normal working hours are based on £90 (up to 5 hours) jobs that will take longer than 5 hours will be quoted individually.

16. Out of hours Rates

call-outs are charged at 1.5 times usual rate (£135 per hour)

Bank holidays and national holidays are charged 2.0 x usual rate (£180 per)

17. Agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

By engaging Best Choice Plumbing Limited to carry out ANY works the ‘Customer’ agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions
